Dušan Milić’s psychological horror wrings tension out of the uneasy truce in post-war Kosovo. In a remote and dwindling Serbian community, safeguarded by KFOR peacekeepers, bereaved grandfather Milutin (veteran Yugoslav actor Slavko Štimac) and his family eke out of living. When their farm comes under attack by mysterious nocturnal forces, the family is forced to confront terrors they thought they had left behind long ago. Milić expertly builds a sense of dread out of this minimal set-up, mining the genre thrills from tragic recent history.
