In 2021, acclaimed Lithuanian director Šarūnas Bartas lost his daughter Ina Marija. In this stunning return to filmmaking, he travels to Ina Marija’s adopted home of Mexico with his youngest daughter Una, retracing the late girl’s steps and observing the fragility and resilience of the natural world. Amid hurricane-ravaged mangroves and lush jungles, Šarūnas and Una quietly confront their grief and the reality that life and time wait for no one. The result is a documentary that blurs the lines between art and reality, and between pain and hope.
