Rozália Szeleczki brings magical realism to the romcom with this surreal take on the pitfalls of modern dating. Fáni (Franciska Töröcsik) is a 30-year-old architect with a history of romantic misfortune and an unwelcome tendency of predict the grisly deaths of her potential partners. When handsome Mihály (Csaba Polgár) moves into her building, her head is turned by his pet cat – who can not only talk, but seems to understand her deepest desires. Can she trust her instincts, or does this black cat spell trouble? Fine-tuned comedic performances and a charmingly absurd take on the traumas of young love make this an unexpectedly moving romance.
