Georgian filmmaker Levan Tskhovrebadze and Serbian journalist Pavla Banjac meet in Sarajevo shortly before protest movements erupt in their home countries. Back home, they send each other messages and mobile phone videos of their involvement in these movements against corruption and authoritarianism. In Fragments of Resistance, Tskhovrebadze and co-director Ani Kiladze collate these words and images into a patchwork portrait of a year in the life of two nations at war with themselves, capturing the emotional toll of resistance and the fragile but essential nature of political hope.
