Recalling the avant-garde artistry of Chagall and Kandinsky, as well as the folk traditions of the Carpathians, this short from master animators Dóra Keresztes and István Orosz is a fine example of the Hungarian psychedelic school. Depicting the dreamscape of an ageing shaman, the film hums with visual invention, as animals and humans, colours and shapes morph one into the other, all accompanied by the angular music of Károly Cserepes.
